The Cottonsellers' Market

The market was built by the emir Tankiz in 1336-1337. Because of its proximity to the Temple Mount, there were two bathhouses here, whose water source was from reservoirs and aqueducts. At the end of the market is one of the gates leading on to the Temple Mount, the Gate of the Cottonsellers.
